The Health Centre  of Agios Nicolaos has been in operation since  June 2002.
Since then it has continuously been trying to provide health services, namely:
1. Provision of Primary Health Care for the entire population of the wider region of Messinian Mani, both temporary and permanent.
2. Information and enlightenment of the public on health issues.
3. Monitoring of patients during their recovery period or after their release from hospital.
4. Providing first aid and hospitalization in case of emergency until the transportation of patients to hospital.
5. Transportation of patients by ambulance to the General Hospital of Kalamata.
6. Personnel training.
